The promenade extends along the Lake Ełckie, situated at the city centre. It is a nearly seven kilometre long section of the walking surface, with bike and roller blade lanes.
While walking down the promenade you can visit many pubs and restaurants situated longwise, some of them floating on water. Those who have a car will find many convenient parking places there. During the walk, you can also admire interesting sculptures made during the International Sculptor’s Workshops or sit down on one of the stylish benches. The historic bridge (formerly – drawbridge), sparkling with fabulously colourful lights, leads from the promenade to the island with the Teutonic Order Castle. Many cultural and sports events take place along the beautiful, elegant boulevard, especially in summer.

We heartily invite you to the boarding house „Grażyna” situated in Mazurian area. It is located just over the Lake Ełckie (only 30m from the shore) and, at the same time, at the centre of the city of Ełk.

The „Janus” Apartments and Restaurant are situated in a centre of the city Ełk, just over the lake, near the city beach, water park, tennis court and the swimming equipment hire. They may be reached easily by walk along the charming passage over the shore of the Lake Ełckie.
From Ełk you can also travel by car or by bike to many stunning places and monuments: Święta Lipka, Camaldolese monastery in Wigry, viaducts in Stańczyki and the famous Wolf’s Lair.

Prace na terenie inwestycji prowadzone są od kwietnia br. przez wykonawcę wyłonionego w drodze przetargu – Project Outdoor Polska Spółka z o. o. z Bielsko – Białej. Park linowy powstaje w ramach projektu „Rozwój turystyki aktywnej płaszczyzną polsko – rosyjskiej współpracy”, współfinansowanego ze środków Unii Europejskiej w ramach Programu Współpracy Transgranicznej Litwa – Polska – Rosja 2007 – 2013.

Na terenie parku powstaną trzy główne trasy: maluch, niska i wysoka oraz dwie trasy treningowe. Trasa maluch przeznaczona będzie dla dzieci w wieku 3-12 lat, na której zagospodarowane zostanie 12 przeszkód. Trasa niska (zielona) przeznaczona dla osób powyżej 8 lat będzie składała się z 17 przeszkód. Ostatnia, najtrudniejsza trasa wysoka (czerwona) przeznaczona jest dla młodzieży i dorosłych. Usytuowane na niej będzie 11 przeszkód.

Zakres całego projektu obejmuje: wymiany uczniów i studentów pomiędzy miastami Ełk i Oziersk, utworzenie Systemu Informacji Turystycznej w postaci wielojęzycznej strony internetowej umożliwiającej m.in. odbycie wirtualnego spaceru po Ełku i Oziersku, wydanie 3000 płyt DVD z wirtualnym spacerem oraz opracowanie Międzynarodowego Programu Rozwoju Turystyki Aktywnej Miasta Ełk i Oziersk.

The building of  road bridge, which is situated on ul. Zamkowa, had started in 1910. Formerly, the bridge led to the castle island on the Lake Ełckie, now it is the main communicational track in the city. On the bridge, there are historic lamps that had formerly lit it with gas light. Presently, the bridge is decorated with a colourful illumination.

A complex of art nouveau and eclectic tenement houses on ul. Wojska Polskiego 15, 38, 57; Mickiewicza 11; Armii Krajowej 10, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 33, 35, 37, 42, 58; 3 maja 10; Chopina 12. The tenement houses the Armii Krajowej (number 23) and the Wojska Polskiego (number 38) are the examples of the Viennese art nouveau. The building on the Wojska Polskiego is particularly original; it represents exceptionally unique blazing art nouveau. In the newly redecorated house, with a beautiful illumination on the Armii Krajowej (number 21) the School of Art’s is situated now. On the sidewall of the building on the Piłsudskiego there is a Krzysztof Hartknoch’s sketch depicting Ełk and all its historical arms.
